All eyes were on Miami over President’s Day weekend, when the annual luxury Miami Yacht Show fest kicked off at its new location on Biscayne Bay. Five sun-soaked days and opulence-filled nights welcoming yacht enthusiasts from around the globe to one of the premiere boating events in the world.
Going strong in its 31st year, the Miami Yacht Show featured over 500 in-water displays of yachts and superyachts from the most respected names in yacht building. In addition, more than 200 luxury yachting and marine exhibitors – including Williams Jet Tenders – were on-hand to round out the attendee experience.
The newly expanded site, in downtown Miami at One Herald Plaza, provided a great centralized location and more space to show off exotic cars, helicopters and all the other accessories that go hand-in-hand with the yacht life.
The annual event kicked off with the traditional opening night party on Thursday, February 14. This year’s theme was Yacht of Love, in a nod to the date. Guests wined and dined and could even take part in a kissing booth below the bow of one of the show’s mega Love Boats. The evening raised funds for Frost Science.
Throughout the weekend, show attendees had the chance to enjoy both the Miami Yacht Show and the nearby Miami International Boat Show, via a new free water taxi and shuttle bus service that connected both events. Guests could also easily be ferried over to the show’s Superyacht Miami display on nearby Watson Island to check out the best of the best in luxury superyachts.
Williams was, of course, an exhibitor at this year’s yacht show. We had all our most popular models on hand and team representatives were available to explain what puts our jet tenders in a class of their own. Visitors to our exhibit were also able to learn more about customizing the perfect Williams tender, and discover why jet propulsion tenders are the preferred choice for yacht owners around the world.
