Williams release Sustainability Report to celebrate World Ocean Day

Williams Jet Tenders, the world’s leading jet tender manufacturer, is proud to announce significant achievements in its sustainability journey as highlighted in its Sustainability Report, ‘Leaving a Clean Wake’.

Marking its 20th anniversary this year, Williams Jet Tenders has made considerable strides towards its vision of becoming a climate-positive business with notable progress in understanding its carbon emissions, and being able to reduce them. In total, Williams’ carbon emissions for 2023 were 258,540 kg CO2e, equivalent to 259 return passenger flights from London to New York.

Other key recognitions and initiatives from the Sustainability Report include:

  • Carbon saving – An estimated 2,700kg carbon saving and £7,819 cost saving were achieved by intercepting and reusing furniture that would have otherwise gone to landfill.
  • Reduction in emissions – Up to 97% less net CO2 emissions with HVO100 in selected DieselJet models and fleet vehicles compared to standard Diesel fuel.
  • Water conservation – The factory’s test pond is now filled with re-used rainwater, reinforcing Williams’ dedication to resource conservation.
  • Innovation in materials – Williams was awarded a £13,000 grant for research into natural fibre composite materials, promising a greener future for the marine industry.
  • Apprenticeship success – the company boasts a 100% retention rate of apprentices since the scheme began 13 years ago, underscoring its commitment to nurturing talent.
  • Community contributions – Over £34,000 was raised and donated to various charities and local community schemes.

Report reveals clear steps toward a more sustainable future within the marine industry.
