Since its debut at the Monaco Yacht Show eighteen months ago, the EvoJet, Williams’ flagship model, has been artfully re-imagined and stylishly re-designed. The perfect marriage of luxury and performance, the all-new EvoJet has arrived stateside and is now ready for viewing and sea trials at Williams Tenders USA Pompano Beach, Florida showroom.
Long a favorite of discerning yacht owners, captains and crew, Williams Jet Tenders are the gold standard of yacht tenders. The introduction of the EvoJet to the product line delivered the full Williams experience to the superyacht lifestyle. Now the experience is even better.
Layout and Design
At 23.25 feet long and 8.5 feet wide, the EvoJet offers a stable and convenient single-level floor throughout the boat plus a full walkaround helm. Plenty of seating and functional storage lets up to 13 passengers spread out comfortably and safely store their belongings.
Boarding is made easy from the bow and port side with the incorporation of generous steps and a hand rail that can be quickly relocated (and easily stored when not in use). Aft boarding is convenient with the new central walk-through transom, courtesy of a middle seat that smoothly converts to a stable step.
Helm Amenities
The helm has been thoughtfully designed with comfort and safety in mind. Soft-touch Navex panels, flush-fit navigation and audio equipment, and twin multi-function display panels put all critical information at the driver’s fingertips. Data displays are fully-customizable thanks to Raymarine Lighthouse software. The glove box, located just below the helm display, can be optionally fitted with a man overboard light for added safety.
Rounding out the helm’s features are a Fusion premium sound system connected to six 6.5 inch speakers and a 12 inch subwoofer, Bennet trim tabs, a central analog control panel and, new to the Williams’ line-up, the inclusion of a centrally-located magnetic compass.
Operating the EvoJet is pure comfort with ergonomic helm seating that features a stylish, rotating bolster. A central storage locker directly behind the helm seat is easily accessible by both the driver and guests in the rear of the tender. The helm locker is the perfect spot to store essential items like phones, wallets and keys.
Power and Performance
Powered by a Yanmar 4LV diesel engine running at 250 horsepower, the EvoJet is capable of a top speed of 41 mph. A well-lit engine bay and generous forward and aft access makes service convenient. The proven and reliable pump system is identical to that found in Williams’ diesel range, but the EvoJet traded cables for control rods to offer fully hydraulic steering. This change also eliminates the corrosion issues sometimes found with traditional cables.
Ease and Convenience
Garaging an EvoJet is made easy with a wealth of convenient features. The auto tube inflator control, located near the engine compartment, fills or deflates the tubes in less than five minutes. The EvoJet offers a single point lift or fully-customizable, flush-mounted lifting points installed in the floor that perfectly match a superyacht’s twin gantry cranes.
The carbon fiber t-top, available with optional downlighting, is designed for even the tallest captain to easily and comfortably move about at the helm. The t-top employs load springs in the arms, making it simple and fast to lower the top for storage. Optional biminis can be quickly installed to provide shade across the full length of the tender.
Multiple bow configuration options make the EvoJet extremely versatile. A center tank holder makes it an ideal choice for scuba diving activities. An optional high-low table provides the perfect spot for dining or, when lowered, converts the entire bow to a sunpad. A fully open bow configuration turns the tender into a working boat.
Additional options like a removable ski pole, underwater and rear-deck lighting, and a retractable hand-held fresh-water shower in the transom area, are the extra amenities designed to impress and pamper guests.
